The Junior League of Halifax is currently recruiting new members. Don't let the name "junior" fool you, we're looking for keen women, of all ages. If you are interested in meeting new people, making a difference in your community through hands-on volunteer service and having fun -- we'd love to meet you. Our current area of focus is healthy lifestyles in children with the goal to reduce childhood obesity by developing healthy living skills that will last a lifetime.
The league provides its members with experiencial learning opportunities: project management, board experience, special event management, volunteer coordination, recruiting, finance, public relations and that's just to name a few areas. We provide formalized development opportunities to our members during our membership meetings and each year at our "think tank" session.
The Junior League of Halifax provides a range of opportunities for members, who volunteer their time and gain valuable skills.
