About Us

Who We Are

The Junior League of Halifax, Inc. is a volunteer organization of women over the age of 19, committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The League is part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., a women's organization representing over 190,000 members internationally.

The League develops projects in direct response to recognized needs in the community relating to our child/youth focus area. We then initiate projects, either on our own or in collaboration with other agencies and give financial, administrative and volunteer support based on the program's annual assessment.
